Super Busy!

Friendship Youth Rally 2009

We have been soooooooo busy with our normal hectic life during the summer months and it does not look like things are going to ease up anytime soon ... we might have a weekend off from now until the middle of November! What a blessing ... I had rather wear out for Jesus than any other reason though! Here is a picture of the children that attended our Youth Rally 2009 at Friendship.

Valentines Day 2009

What A Wonderful Suprise!
I came in and Gordon had the table all decorated for Valentine's Day. He had MADE me a heart shaped cake, with pink icing. He made a four layer two kind cake. It was strawberry & red velvet, with cream cheese icing. The heart shape pie is Rachel's doings. I bought the stuff to fix two pies for tomorrow night and she decided that she was going to decorate them to suit her. I think they turned out really pretty.

We have had a pretty hard week. I think Gordon was trying to bring my spirits up some.

Working each day sitting with my feet down at work is causing major trouble with my legs and feet. My right leg has always swelled some ... but since this other problem has started my left leg has been swelling as much maybe more so that the right one. After being at work all day coming home and trying to get all my daily "chores" done by the time I get everything done I can barely walk because my legs and feet are swelled so tight. They are doubling in size each day only going down a little each night.

So, I BEG you please pray for all of us. Gordon is running head over hills at his job and then trying to keep things done up at the church keeps him very busy. With me working each day and then trying to keep up with all of my duties ... somedays I feel like I may be losing my mind. Zach is trying to get everything ready to head off to Collage in the fall. Nathan is constantly on the phone or wanting to go somewhere with the girlfriend of his. I took him to the DR this week and she said that he had lost OVER 30lb's since December ... it is all the stress from his poor decisions ... We finally let him go and try for his permit ... and lo and behold he got it! Now that Rachel is 15 she is constantly talking about that boy she is hooked up with in Williamsburg ... I really think that they all 3 need to focus more on thier walk with the LORD that the trials and mishaps of this life down here.

WOW Look What We Got

Howdy from Kentucky!

My husband is the kind of person that he LOVES snow! He would love to have a foot or more of sno at one time! Not ice ... but snow! Well, we got this Winter Weather Advisory thing going on Monday afternoon ... we have had them several time before this winter with nothing! So, I was not too excited about this one passing through. Well, boy was I mistaken! We go to bed on Monday night ... and we get up on Tuesday morning to this ...

Lots and Lots of ICE! Well, it kept sleeting through out the day on Tuesday and then they were calling for more sleet for Tueday night and then for it to change over in to snow on Wednesday.

I had gotten up that morning and fixed Bacon, scrambled eggs, & toast for everyone and got that mess cleaned up. I had also fixed a huge pot of Vegetable soup & a pan of cornbread and an Angel food cake so that just in case the electric was to go out ... we would atleast have something to eat. Well, we made it till about 3:00 PM and the electric went out. We stayed here with a propane heater that Gordon uses for camping until after 8:00.

We give up ... our neighbors across the street and next door had electric but we did not! We just all got ready and wentnt to the Pastor's house ... we knew they would have heat atleast. We got there and lo and behold they had electric too! So, we stayed up until about midnight and played Pictionary Man ... we played on teams ... "THE OLD FOGIES" ... agianst the "Young Blood" ... take a guess who won ... YEAH the old people won! It was Bro. Tim & Sis. Lisa ... with Gordon & Myself as one team playing agianst Bro. Caleb, Bro. Zach & Bro. Nathan.

Through the night the electric went out ... I could not sleep with all the racket, so I went to the van and slept there for about 2 hours ... went back in the house and layed back down on the couch. Anyhow ... it did not sleet anymore it simply rained all night long! When we all got up this morning it had started snowing within a few minutes we were covered over. The flakes we sooo big! It was beautiful!

So, we spent the entire day with The Shirley Family because we still had no electric. Gordon nor I either one have been able to go to work this week so far. Lucky for me ... my normal day off is tomorrow! Anyhow ... it is 24 degrees but we are back home with the electric furnace and all the lights and all the computer a humming ... making that electric meter go around so fast it could be slicing cheese!

Hope you all have had a wonderful week!

Loss Of A Co Worker And Friend

January 20th, 2009
We lost a Co-Worker & Friend. This is the 2nd Associate from Upstream that has passed away in a car accident in less than a years time.

A Taylor County woman died Tuesday in a two-vehicle crash on KY 88, just west of Greensburg.

Angelica “Angie” Heath graduated from Campbellsville High School last year, (2008) where she had been a cheerleader and student council officer. She was currently employed at Upstream in Campbellsville, KY where she worked as a Sales Agent. The class that she was trained in had just been out on the sales floor almost 2 weeks. She loved this new job.

She is survived by both her parents: Mitzi Simpson Heath & Randell Heath of Campbellsville. She is also survived by her fiancé Josh White. They had just become engaged through the Christmas Holiday and had planned to be married in the Spring.

Greensburg-Green County Fire and Rescue and Grab Fire Department firefighters assisted with extrication at the scene. The road was closed for more than two hours as traffic was rerouted around the crash scene.

According to Kentucky State Police Trooper John Boyd, Angelica Heath, 18, of Campbellsville, was pronounced dead at the scene by Green County Coroner Eudell Stilts.

According to Boyd's report, Heath was traveling east on KY 88 in a 1997 Nissan, when she lost control in a curve and slid sideways into the westbound lane of traffic. Heath's vehicle was struck in the passenger door by a 1999 Ford driven by Ben Bolden, 19, of Campbellsville.
The collision occurred at 9:02 a.m.

Bolden was transported by Green County EMS to Jane Todd Crawford Hospital and later flown to University of Louisville hospital by medical helicopter. He was in serious condition Wednesday morning.
We were told today at work that Anglica's finace was in the car behind her ... meaning that he saw the accident. I cannot imagine what he is going through ...

Please pray for the families of the "Young People" who were involved in this accident.

Wonderful Week Because Of My Husband ... Gordon

This is week 51 remaining in my current working status. As most of you know I am a Full-Time Employee ... Full-Time Wife ... Full-Time Mother ... Full-Time Housekeeper ... Full-Time Assistant To The Pastors Wife ... and the list goes on and on.

On Monday's we have Discipleship Class ... which kind of makes it hard for me because that was the night that I used to play Catch up ... I would do the Church Bulletin for the next Sunday, Catch up on The CD Ministry and catch up on washing clothes ... you know after the weekend dirty clothes come out of the wood work ... I still think when you put them in a pile they get together and multiply like rabbits! Anyhow this past Monday Night my husband wanted me to go to the Discipleship Class with him ... knowing that I had MOUNTAIN of dirty laundry I went on. After getting home and getting a shower it was time for me to go to bed. He stayed up until he got every load washed dried folded and put into baskets. WHAT A BLESSING!

Tuesday I got up at 5:30 EST got ready and went to work. I got to come home from work early so I got supper started early ... I fixed Steak & Gravy, Mashed Potatoes, Green Beans & Corn. I got all of the clothes that Gordon had done put away ... and the house straightened up. What an accomplishment. Then I started working on the Friendship Church Calendar that I am already 10 days behind on!

Wednesday ... I got up at 5:30 again and got ready and headed off to work ... once again ... I got to come home early! When I got home today ... Gordon was at home too. He was doing something for work on his laptop and I went ahead and fixed a Spaghetti Bake for supper that night, got the mess cleaned up ... the house picked up and more clothes washed ... I even got to lay down and take a few minutes nap before heading off to Church! WOW! I also got some more work done on the Church Calendar. I got to stay up late tonight ... I made it until 10:15!

Thursday is my normal day off ... so I got to sleep in. Eveybody likes to sleep in every now and then. While I am sitting at the computer working on the calendar and the bulletin ... Gordon calls and says that he is in Russell Springs at thier K-Mart. He said it is a good thing that we do not have much money on the bank ... I of'course asked why ... he said that they still had aisle after aisle of Christmas stuff at 75% off! Then he goes to telling me about this Christmas Tree that he saw ... well you'all know how I LOVE Christmas! Anyhow ... was not able to get the tree. It was a 7 1/2 ft tree with white or colored lights and it rotates ... I had seen them before but knew that they were too expensive for me to ever have one! But 75% off! I ended up fixing BBQ Chicken, Mashed Potatoes, Macaroni & Tomatoes & Peas for supper ... got the mess cleaned up ... worked on the Calendar some more took a shower and it was bedtime again.

Friday I do the usual get up get ready and go to work ... I came out for lunch and sitting in my van were more than a dozen hot pink roses (mostly rosebuds) They were beautiful! Along with a sandwich and a little debbie cookie in the shape of a heart and it said ... Will You be My Valentine ... How romantic! At work no less. So, I called Gordon almost in tears I asked him what the flowers were for and he says "I think a beatuiful woman deserves to have beautiful flowers every now and then!" OH MY! I got to come home early again and I fixed a quick supper ... hamburger helper and mashed potatoes. Zach & Rachel went to the game to see Caleb play ... and Nathan was at a friends house. I was so PROUD ... I got the Calendar DONE!

Saturday ... got up and done the usual ... got to work on time ... they let me go home again early ... today my conversion rate was 42% they want it to be 15% ... WOW ... Smoking HOT today. I came home and my husband informs me that we are going to get the Chrismtas Tree! When we got there we got the LAST ONE! I am so excited and cannot hardly wait until Christmas this year!

What a Wonderful week it has been ... the good has out weighed the pain! e pain this week!
